Application
MP-400 is applicable in as broad a range of services as any mass transfer device.
It is heavily used in distillation towers—from deep vacuum towers, where its low pressure drop is crucial, to high- pressure towers, where its capacity easily surpasses that of trays.
Many absorption and stripping towers, especially those aiming for high capacity or many stages, rely on MP-400. The low pressure drop of MP-400 contributes to its success in heat transfer towers, such as olefin plant quench columns.
Size available
MP-400 is available in six sizes, which different combinations of efficiency and pressure drop . From smallest to largest, the sizes are numbered 15, 25, 40, 50, 60 and 70mm, the small sizes exhibit the best efficiency, whereas the large sizes exhibit the greatest capacity and lowest pressure drop.
